Description
Edinburgh Drone Company will take you from novice to confident in our beginners drone training course:
Drone Basics
– Getting your Flyer ID, Operator ID (on drone) and insurance if flying commercially (costs not included in package, currently £10 annually)
– Max Height of 400ft(120m), Max distance of 500m, always in Visual line of sight
– Take off permission
– No flying over uninvolved people (crowd if sub 250g)
– Make sure to check weather (wind specifically – UAV Forecast
Checks Before Flying
- Drone Assist and NOTAM (notice to airmen)
- Wind Speed
- Check Health of Drone (props, gimbal, legs etc)
- GPS signal before flying
- Return to home height
- Take off and landing working
- Check all drone movements before flying away from close vicinity
Software – apps
- Drone Assist
- UAV Forecast
- Necessary brand app for flying drone
2 Hour course – 1 to 1 lesson with Jack from EDC. Local lesson at our office/ local beach (Longniddry). We can happily travel to you but expenses will be added.
